Meet Priscilla

Noah is obsessed with babies. He loves to pet them, feed them, rock their carseats, and occasionally steal their pacifiers for a quick taste himself (the horror!). So, we decided he needed a baby of his own. It was love at first sight. Priscilla (Me: "What should we name her?" Ben: "Priscilla! Like the Pink Pig!" Can you tell how few references to pink objects we have at our house?) has been with us for a week now and she is much adored.Yep, she's an African American baby, but I figure Noah's pretty dark ...

Baby Priscilla gets a big hug,and a kiss.

Ben's Artwork

We got crafty this afternoon (it was serious, people - I got out the glue gun), making Valentine art for Ben's classmates, teachers, and friends. When we were finished, Ben decided to draw on his new easel. His version of a "smiley face" has been progressing over the past year, and today's masterpiece was particularly detailed with hair, arms (coming out from the head), and legs (again, coming out from the head), and I love that he wrote his name at the top like a good little student ... That's Noah's little finger - he kept pointing saying, "Daddy! Daddy!" Mostly, he was happy to run around with a dry paint brush, "painting" the window, the table, my legs, etc. ...

That's the paint brush ... on his belly.

Quiet Time

In the mornings, while I get ready for the day, Noah is happy to sit in his crib with some books for "quiet time." This morning, when I went in to get him, this was the scene ... Sweet, sweet baby boy.
