Nobody Loves You Better ...

Than a big brother!
I love that, coincidentally, there's a shot of every sibling pair combination possible.  Amidst our fair share of bickering, it's reassuring to know that they actually do love each other.  A lot.

Beach Trip 2012

The beach is always one of our favorite destinations, but it felt especially great this year that nobody was trying to eat the sand.  Celebrate every milestone, people.

 Surf lessons!
Okay, so these were supposed to be lessons for the boys, and they were, but Jess and I had to get in on the action too.  And then it got competitive.  I got up a few times!  This was one of the times just before (and to be honest, the actual "up" part was so brief there may not have been time to get a shot, but I'll take it).
This was the scene on the way home.  I think it's safe to say they had a good time.

Ben's 7th Birthday

Every year I say the same thing, only the years are definitely getting shorter.  Because I know I was just writing that we couldn't possibly have a 6-year-old, and now we suddenly have a 7-year-old?!  How is this possible?!

Ben got lots of baseball gear, which has turned out to be one of his favorite sports to watch and play,
but his BIG gift was revealed as the garage door went up ...
A cool new bike that he's still growing in to.
Seriously, 7???

Last Days of School

The boys both had fantastic school years with extraordinarily gifted teachers.  So thankful for these loving folks.
Noah with Sarah and Stephen
Ben with Jonathan, Dana, and Kristi
An after-the-last-day-of-school treat for our brand new Kindergartener and Second Grader!

May. What Can I Say?

Not much.  Instead of giving you some big excuse (the move) as to why it's been like ... well, forever since I've posted, I'll just give you some sweet pics from May.  Let's be honest, that's all you really came here for anyway!
You'd never guess it, but Eliza has become quite the poser.
Long ago promised soccer shot of Noah.
Cutest carrot ever in his Fairytale Theater performance of "The Garden" at school.
Chess Club All-Star
And somewhere amidst all of it, Ben lost his first tooth!

Our Big Move

While April was filled with lots of school, sport, and other fun spring activities, we were basically consumed by our move, which happened at lightning speed.  We listed our house, sold our house, bought a new house, and moved all within the span of ONE month.  Mama ain't moving again any time soon (read: ever)!
We packed up the kiddos,
and made a new home sweet home.  We love it here.  The house isn't actually that much larger than our old house, but it's more open, which just feels really good.  We've loved getting to know our new neighbors and neighborhood.  It's been a real blessing for our family.
