Yoga with Noah

In his attempts to crawl (he's moving, but I'm not ready to make the official call yet), Noah strikes some impressive yoga poses. Our little "yogi" in action ... Cobra Pose
Downward Dog
Child Pose (appropriately named)

First Day at the Pool

Our new neighborhood pool (within walking distance of our house) opened this weekend. The water was pretty cool, but that didn't bother either of the boys. This was Noah's first time swimming, and he LOVED it. I predict we'll be spending many summer days there in years to come.

Braves Game

We went to a Braves game on Saturday afternoon. This was Noah's first time at Turner Field. The boys had a blast - the weather was perfect, there were so many new things to see, and the Braves won!

Our seats happened to be right in front of "McCann's Cans."

For Ben, it's all about the food ...

He discovered cotton candy, and it was love at first bite.

After 5 innings of sitting still, Ben was ready to run off some of that sugar. We headed over to one of the kids' play areas to "run the bases" ... Daddy as 3rd base coach. And he heads for home!

Decatur Arts Festival

The Decatur Arts Festival is held every Memorial Day weekend. There is a Children's Festival on Saturday morning with lots of music, art, and other kids' activities. We took a ride on the back of a fire truck with friend Kira and her dad Anthony. Ben loved this giant dragon inflatable. In the belly of the dragon. There were pony rides, although we (Jess and I) didn't have the patience to actually stand in line to ride one.

Ben Turns 3!

Somehow (I'm not sure how it happened), we have a 3-year-old. Ben enjoyed a day filled with all things fun, as a little boy's birthday should be. Ben woke up and immediately checked out the cupcakes I made for him to bring to school. And some Blue's Clues stickers! Breakfast tasted better on his new Blue's Clues plate.
Then it was time to celebrate at school ...
Look! 3 M&Ms because I'm 3! Ben and friend Cole dig in. Ben's classmates enjoyed his birthday cupcakes. That was delicious!

After nap, we spent the afternoon at the park ...

Noah likes to swing! And while we were there, a small birthday miracle occurred ...

Ben shared without prompting!

When I asked Ben what he wanted me to make for his birthday dinner, he said, "Pretzels ... AND pretzel sticks!" After further consideration, he decided on one of his favorites - Subway. (Is this a comment on my cooking?) Hungry boy
When we got home, it was time to open presents ...
A "Word Factory" DVD (sequel to the "Letter Factory," a favorite) Candy Land from Noah Some new Maisy books New Crocs with a Blue's Clues Jibbitz

And one more gift on the porch ...

A scooter! And he's off! Happy Birthday, Ben!

Noah's 1st Haircut!

We tried to wait until his 1st birthday, but Noah's hair was out of control. From shaggy ...

to chic!

With just a few snips in between ...

And let's not forget the "No-hawk" ... August 2007

Ben got a fresh cut too!
